New Interpreter's Bible: General & Old Testament Articles, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus Reviews
-
These weeks I am reading the Exodus section. I find the commentaries of Walter Brueggemann among the best of biblical reflections shedding wisdom from the past for today's life. Solid scholarship, ecumenical, with commentaries that give deep insight into the texts and concrete relationships and application to contempory life situations. Excellent for pastoral use and personal spiritual nourishment.
