the art of frugal feeding a family on a budget Reviews
Recently I lost my job and had to re-evaluate my expenses. I don’t have a family to support but even being thrifty for yourself can always come in handy. I wasn’t sure where to start to I bought this book and it pointed me in the right direction. I use to eat out A LOT, and I mean, a lot, every day for lunch and usually a few times for dinner; I don’t mean Mc D’s either, I spent good cash. So now that I have changed my habits and started following the advice given in this book, I am able to save a lot more money, I make more meals that last multiple sittings, and I watch my grocery bill. Great advice, easy to follow; overall a good purchase.
Growing up I had 6 brothers and sisters, money was night, space was tight and food was definitely tight. Now that I have kids of my own it’s just natural to be …conservative with money…or frugal. I got this book and so far it has really impressed me. I had never heard of the author before and I was a little hesitant but she really knows her stuff and has written a great book that is easy to read and follow. I now use more coupons than I ever had and pay much more attention to the local flyers. If you want to learn how to shop properly I highly recommend this book!
I really liked it. It was short and to the point. It is common scene but it thought out common scene, so you don't have to spend the time figuring it. Really like how at the end of each chapter, they give you links to check out and a quick summary.
This was a short little Kindle book, with many tips that I've seen before, but I got good reminders to check out the farmer's market in Raleigh over the holidays, as well as to look into a vacuum sealer. (Do people actually use those?)
Amazon freebie. No new information.
Good book for a beginner in being frugal. For those of us that have been practicing frugality for a while, this is just a quick review of what we already do.
