Trippers Reviews

One minute it's a normal story about a group of friends going on a trip together, then all of a sudden it turns really weird. Reminding me of the movie From Dusk til Dawn, I think I just became increasingly horrified as Trippers progressed.I bought it this morning and finished it this evening. I admit I picked the ending from reading the beginning, but there were plenty of surprises throughout.I loved the style, which kept me reading even as my thoughts went "ewe" at some of the more disturbing details in what is, after all, a horror story. This has some of the best one-liners, including pickup lines that a number of my ex-boyfriends (and other, less successful guys) tried out on me, and my personal favourite,"Don't indulge in oral intercourse while you're masticating."I only gave it four stars instead of five because I don't like medical terms I don't understand, the Kindle ebook has formatting errors that bugged me and I skipped some of the gory and explicit sections close to the end.But...I can't wait to read his new book, Bench, because the author wrote Trippers when he was a kid. It's been more than ten years since Trippers was written: if he was this good as a kid, Bench is bound to be brilliant.
